Our Team Attends The OKM Job Fair
On Friday, May 3, 2019, we made an appearance at the Okanagan Mission Secondary School during its inaugural OKM Career Fair. Wtfast, amongst 35 other businesses, was present to encourage and inspire kids to take on potential career paths for the future. And best of all, we brought a gigantic Fortnite photo booth.
“Definitely, the photo booth grabs some attention, which is its purpose, but really the kids are interested in gaming at large. And we’ve had a handful come over and really want to get into the industry and (ask) ‘How do we actually get into this industry?’ Get a computer science degree, and be at the top of your class.”
We, here at WTFast, are always looking to help develop a love for technology and gaming in the hearts of kids everywhere. Kids love gaming, that much is certain, but to make a career out of it, is a path like no other. Our goal here was to show these kids that their love for gaming can extend towards a practical side, and hopefully, with what we saw, the future of the tech industry looks bright.
